Exceptional Blade quality

We have chosen 3.2mm (thickness) 5160 (Carbon steel) for the blade material as it is well known for its extreme toughness and edge retention. Together with our meticulous heat treatment and tempering process we are able to achieve a hardness of +-60 RHC. This results in a blade that holds it sharpness for much longer.

Blade finish

We have selected a Flat grind for this blade where after it has been hand sanded to a 600 Grid high satin finish. Finishing the blade off with a Apple seed edge to ensure it is ready when you are 

Handle material

For the Handle material we have selected Wild Plum wood (Harpephyllum caffrum). This wood is widely used in the manufacturing of music instruments and knife handles due to its strength and durability. For the Bolsters we have chosen Copper and a red G10 Spacer to perfectly compliment the transition between the metal and the wood. Finished with a mosaic and copper pin it adds to the aesthetics of this uniquely hand crafted knife. Lastly we finished the handle of with a leather wrist band to ensure that your piece is not lost  

Hand crafted sheath

The Sheath is hand crafted from +- 3.3 mm Buffalo Leather which can easily be worn on your side. Comfort was the main aim during the crafting process
