Exceptional Blade quality
We have chosen 4.2mm (thickness) L4528 (Stainless steel) for the blade material as it is well known for its extreme toughness and edge retention. Together with our meticulous heat treatment and tempering process we are able to achieve a hardness of +-60 RHC. This results in a blade that holds it sharpness for much longer.
Blade finish
We have selected a Flat grind for this blade where after it has been hand sanded to a 5000 Grid high satin finish. Finishing the blade off with a Apple seed edge to ensure it is ready when you are
Handle material
For the Handle material we have selected Burmese Teak wood (Tectona Grandis) due to its durability, water resistance and attractive appearance. Brass pins was used to secure the handles to the blade.
Box
To finish this unique set we had a custom Box made from Tambotie wood which was transported from Mozambique in 1958
