Exceptional Blade quality

We have chosen 4.2mm (thickness) 1070 (Carbon steel) for the blade material as it is well known for its extreme strenght and flexibility. Together with our meticulous heat treatment and tempering process we are able to achieve a hardness of +-55 RHC. This results in a blade that holds it sharpness for much longer.

Blade finish

We have selected a Flat grind for this blade where after it has been hand sanded to a 1200 Grid satin finish. This blade features a differential heat treatment pattern (Hamon) on the spine that not only is aesthetically pleasing, but also adds to the flexibility during use. Finishing the blade off with a Apple seed edge (Convex grind) to ensure it is ready when you are 

Handle material

For the Handle material we have selected Stabelised Caramel maple burl incorporating 2 x Blue G10 spacers snugly caressing a Lamtoro Burl spacer imported from Indonesia. While doing a hidden tang fitment on this unique piece we have also added a Bronze guard. Finally securing all together with a Mosaic pin.   

Hand crafted sheath

The Sheath can be hand crafted to customer specifications (left/ Right handed) to finish of this perfect piece (Sold separately)
